ISLET OF AREOSO
The Islet of Areoso is a natural protected area located north of the Island Arousa to which it belongs. The islet is almost 9 hectares, low and made up mostly of fine sand, which is why its characteristic appearance is that of a dune coming out of the sea, especially in its northern part where there is a long white strip of sand. In the southern part, between the sand, an area of growing herbaceous vegetation emerges. It is surrounded by reefs located at the surface of the water. At its highest point, you can see the remains of megalithic dolmens. If you wish, you can take a sea route to see it closely.

CAMBADOS
THE SAN SADURNIÑO TOWER
The San Sadurniño Tower was built in the 10 th century and was intended to defend the coast. It was destroyed by the Irmandiños, but was reconstructed in the 14 th century. In the 18 th century it was abandoned and deteriorated gradually. The collapsed remains, apparently 3 bodies, reveal being built in ashlar and having traces of edification. It is very badly conserved, although its setting maintains great beauty. Its position on the end of an islet, must have been conditioned by prior constructions,a landmark, a watchtower, and a fortification at that point of the estuary.
